چکیده

Abstract. In this study, the dense seismo-acoustic network of Institute Geophysical Research (IGR), National Nuclear Centre Republic Kazakhstan, is used to characterize global ocean ambient noise. As monitoring facilities are collocated, allows for a joint analysis oceanic Infrasonic and seismic data processed using correlation-based method temporal variability microbarom microseism signals from 2014 2017. Oceanic ambient noise as a background to acoustic neutrino detection

Ambient noise measured in the deep ocean is studied in the context of a search for signals from ultrahigh-energy cosmic ray neutrinos. The spectral shape of the noise at the relevant high frequencies is found to be very stable for an extensive data set collected over several months from 49 hydrophones mounted near the bottom of the ocean at 1600 m depth. The slopes of the ambient noise spectra ...

The statistics of ocean-acoustic ambient noise

With the assumption that the ocean-acoustic ambient noise field is a random process that obeys the central limit theorem, many useful statistical properties of subsequent intensity and mutual intensity measurements are readily deduced by respective applications of coherence theory and estimation theory.

Effect of Underwater Ambient Noise on Quadraphase Phase-shift Keying Acoustic Sensor Network Links in Extremely Low Frequency Band

This study evaluates the impact of underwater ambient noise using seven real noise samples; Dolphin, Rain, Ferry, Sonar, Bubbles, Lightning, and Outboard Motor in three frequency ranges in extremely low frequency (ELF) band. The ELF band is the most significant bandwidth for underwater long-range communication. ELF band which is extended from 3 to 3000 Hz clearly, faces bandwidth limitation. Me...

Acoustic Vector-Sensor Correlations in Ambient Noise

Most array-processing methods require knowledge of the correlation structure of the noise. While such information may sometimes be obtained from measurements made when no sources are present, this may not always be possible. Furthermore, measurements made in-situ can hardly be used to analyze system performance before deployment. The development of models of the correlation structure under vari...
